The Department of Employment and Training (DET) of the Government of Andhra Pradesh is appointed for governing the affairs of the technical training centers – including the government-managed Industrial Training Institutes or the ITIs and the privately-owned Industrial Training centers or ITCs – in India’s state of Andhra Pradesh. By enrolling in the trade programs, the aspirants gain technical know-how and become equipped to work in the respective trades. In turn, the gap of skilled labor resources in industries gets bridged as well.
At the national level and state level, the bodies that govern the functioning of the vocational training centers are the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and The State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT), respectively. With respect to the trade programs that the candidates gain admission in, they can secure the National Trade Certificate or State Level Trade Certificates, respectively. Accordingly, they become eligible to avail the various income-earning opportunities at the national or state level, depending on their awarded certificates.
An important aspect pertaining to applying for the trade courses is that the eligibility criteria differ for the varied courses. Thus, the aspiring candidates should fill the application fee only if they qualify; else, they will lose their application fee.
