West Bengal ITI Result 2024

In the state of West Bengal that is traceable to India’s eastern belt, vocational education is governed by the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVESD) of the Technical Education Division under the West Bengal Government. Through the Government-funded Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and the privately-funded Industrial Training Centers (ITCs), technical training is conducted across India’s different states.

The training programs are carried out by both the Government-appointed statutory bodies, the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT). The NCVT works at the national level by drafting the policies that govern the ITIs and ITCs. Then, on the state level, the SCVT is in charge of executing the NCVT’s guidelines.

Several youngsters are keen to pursue vocational education; thus, the Union Government of India has set up several vocational training centers for them to gain technical know-how. Thereafter, depending on whether they enroll for the NCVT or SCVT trades, they acquire the National Level Trade Certificates (NLTCs) or State Level Trade Certificates (SLTCs), respectively.

For applying to the national-level jobs, the NLTCs are required; and for the state level jobs, the SLTCs are needed.
